Have Your Teen Struggling With Peer Pressure Recite This Prayer

Father, please help me to be strong and not to give in to negative peer pressure.

I trust You to keep peer pressure from becoming so overwhelming that I can’t stand up against it. You will show me how to escape temptation’s power so I can bear up patiently against it.

I resist the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. I strive for integrity, faith, love, peace, and holiness in all of my relationships.

I know that You love me and want the best for me. I will not follow the plans and purposes of the ungodly, or stand submissive and inactive in the path where sinners walk. I delight in the law of the Lord and on Your law I will habitually meditate. My security and self-esteem are in You, and I do not seek the approval of others to feel secure.

I will walk as a companion with wise men and I shall be wise. Your nature abides in me — Your principle of life abides permanently within me, and I cannot habitually practice sinning because I am born of God.

In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
