Heavenly Blueprint for Success: Declarations & Activations!

Everyone who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you what he is like: he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built. But the one who hears and does not do them is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. When the stream broke against it, immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great (Luke 6:47-49, ESV).

There is a heavenly blueprint for your life; and in your experience with Jesus, you can hear His words and understand what your purpose is and how to walk it out.

In life, you may experience overwhelming circumstances, forcefully attempting to bring destruction to your life and purpose; but according to God’s Word, you cannot be shaken. No matter what floods come against your life, you will not be destroyed. Your life is well built and structured upon God’s strength—not your own works.

Those who experience God but don’t act upon His words subject themselves to a life susceptible to disappointment and even destruction. In all our ways we want to acknowledge Him and allow Him to build our house and direct our paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

You operate out of a relationship with God, and your life, activities, and work are reflections of Him. He calls you His workmanship, His garden, His field, and His fellow worker—He promises to bring you increase, life, health, and protection. You bring Him glory in the way you conduct yourself and by accomplishing what He gives you to do. Actively experiencing God and being shaped by Him are keys to being able to withstand turbulence in your life. The key to a solid house is the rock that it’s built upon—the true solid rock of Jesus Christ.

Declaration

By the grace of God, I have built my house on the firm foundation of Jesus Christ. No matter what comes, I will not be shaken.

Activation

How would you describe your foundation? Is your life built on Jesus Christ, the only true Foundation, or something else?

If you were to imagine a blueprint for your life, what would it look like? Write some highlights of this blueprint, and then ask the Lord to add to them.

Operating in Your Purpose Brings Favor

Then Mordecai told them to reply to Esther, “Do not think to yourself that in the king’s palace you will escape any more than all the other Jews. For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” Then Esther told them to reply to Mordecai, “Go, gather all the Jews to be found in Susa, and hold a fast on my behalf, and do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my young women will also fast as you do. Then I will go to the king, though it is against the law, and if I perish, I perish” (Esther 4:13-16, ESV).

Esther is my favorite example of someone who discovered and lived out her purpose. The book of Esther reveals how God prepared Esther for a special purpose and orchestrated the intricate events and details of her life. Esther’s mother and father had passed away, and she lived with her uncle, Mordecai, as a young, single woman. God knew her purpose was to become queen of the empire and rescuer of the Jews, but Esther wasn’t born with that knowledge. Throughout the story, you can see how God kept His hand of direction on her, working on her behalf. (I encourage you to read the entire book.)

Operating in your purpose—in alignment with God’s design—brings favor. Esther experienced God’s favor during a difficult situation that required risking her life to speak out on behalf of her people. What a heavy load for a young girl to bear! Esther was in the palace, facing a huge challenge. She had to determine if she was willing to potentially give her life for her people. Was it the right thing for her to do? What was the plan and the timing? Purpose is often revealed in an idea of what to do (vision), and then other factors come into play, such as methodology (how), timing (when), and collaboration with others. All these things worked together in Esther’s purpose to bring success and deliverance for the Jews.

Declaration

I will put my past behind me and walk into a victorious future. I was born for such a time as this.

Activation

In Esther’s young life, she had much that could have limited her success. She was orphaned, kidnapped, forced to become a concubine, and more. How do you think it was possible for her to thrive?

Journal some thoughts about breaking through hardship to experience victory in your life.
