Your Daily Victory: 78 Bible Promises That Will Change Your Life

For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us (2 Corinthians 1:20).

To begin with, Jesus promised us if we would believe in Him, we would have everlasting life.

Paul put it this way. He said that once he believed in Jesus, his old man was crucified with Christ (Romans 6:6). In other words, he proclaimed that death was in his past but not in his future.

As Christians, this alone should be extremely encouraging. We know that for all eternity we will be free and have life, while everything else on earth will have passed into history. We will never die! Our death is not a future event, but has been recorded in our past. However, the promises from God not only apply to our distant future, but they apply to our earthly existence now.

We know that we have an enemy that attacks us in many areas on a daily basis. But the good news is this: for every attack and trial, God has given a promise. These promises are battle-ready for the Christian who believes them in his or her heart and confesses them without wavering. There are literally thousands of promises in God’s Word. Obviously they can’t all be listed, but here are a few in which you can anchor your hope.

I would also suggest that you be led by the Holy Spirit and choose promises from God that speak to your heart and your situation. Write them down and then meditate on them. They will come alive and minister to you. The Word removes fear and restores hope.

More Promises

There are more promises that are listed further in my book, Finding Hope When Thinks Look Hopeless. Sure, some of the above promises were spoken to the Hebrews who were the natural seed of Abraham. However, never forget this: if you are a born-again Christian, saved by faith through grace, then the promises to the seed of Abraham are also for you.

That the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. (Galatians 3:14)

If you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. (Galatians 3:29)
