Charlie Kirk: ‘We Are Chosen for This Moment’

If you’ve ever watched my radio show or seen me speak, you know that I have a problem with a lot of Christian pastors.

In one word, they’re cowards.

Wisdom begins with the fear of the Lord—so says the book of Proverbs. But today’s Christian leaders fear a great many things besides God. They fear condemnation from the press, from their neighbors, or from their own parishioners. They fear for their reputations. They fear being regarded as something other than respectable “good citizens.” They fear death, instead of what comes after it.

And so, rather than speaking out, they go silent. They avoid speaking about controversial topics from the pulpit, or anywhere else. Instead of proclaiming the Gospel, they keep it half-hidden, presenting only the parts that are easy. They preach a private Christianity instead of a bold public one. Above all, they shun anything that is “too political,” as if politics is entirely outside the realm of Christian values.

Fortunately, Gene and Teri Bailey are not that type of Christian. I’ve known both of them for years, long enough to know they are both the real thing. They know that the lives we live right now are only a prelude and that all of us will be judged for how we act today. They know that if we really believe in Christ and the Bible, then we need to publicly stand up for the unborn, for real marriage, for freedom of worship, and more.

They also aren’t in denial about the challenge facing America. For 200 years, every American lived in a country that, whatever its flaws, was at least implicitly Christian in nature. The biblical worldview was taken for granted as the guidepost to live our lives by. That biblical worldview is what drove the Americans first to seek independence from Britain, then to abolish slavery. Because it strove to observe Christian ethics, America was blessed.

But for decades now, America has been turning away from that worldview. Gene and Teri can both tell you the result of that: Because we have abandoned God, terrible afflictions are coming for this country. Our freedoms have eroded, as has our wealth. Young Americans live confused lives of uncertainty and moral anarchy. The family is vanishing. Parents mutilate their children to win approval on social media. To quote Solzhenitsyn: “People have forgotten God, and that is why all these terrible things have happened.”

But fortunately, Gene and Teri have a plan. They are experts on America’s many past religious revivals, and they know how to pave the way for another one. “Killing America” may have a bleak title, but it’s not a tale of despair. It’s a road map for all who yearn to see America restored to her God-given glory. The Baileys’ strategic guide offers actionable steps for every Christian who wishes to stand up for their values, while protecting their families from the tribulations to come and ensuring that their faith emerges intact on the other side.

As the Baileys so aptly remind us, we are not mere bystanders in this epic tale. We are active participants, chosen for this moment to make a difference. We shouldn’t lament that we were born in a difficult time. We should rejoice that God has given us this chance to show our devotion.

America’s story is a Christian story, one of resilience, redemption, and revival. With your help, America’s next chapter won’t be one of final collapse, but of its greatest-ever triumph.
