Dreams & Visions: Wisdom on Hearing God’s Prophetic Words
Dreams
The greatest tragedy you could ever experience would be to let go of your God-given dream and allow the fire in your heart to go out. To do that is the equivalent of letting go of your special individuality, your divine call, and your God-given giftings.

Once you really know what God wants you to do, you must set your heart on the assignment God has given you — with- out budging, hesitating, flinching, or doubting. Once you truly know God’s will for you, you must follow through by obeying what He’s told you to do — no matter what your friends, your family, or your surrounding circumstances have to say about it!

Dreams are powerful. They usually seem impossible at first, but those who dare to do the impossible are the ones who eventually see the impossible come to pass in their lives. Everything great starts as a dream. Consider the example of Thomas Edison, who worked so long and furiously to realize his dream of the light bulb. Although Edison failed literally thousands of times in the earliest pursuits of his dream, he learned from every failure and pushed forward. Finally, his dream came to pass, and it changed the course of human history. What if this brilliant man had given up and given in to discouragement? Someone else along the way would have invented the light bulb, but Edison wouldn’t have had the great honor of being a part of it!
Sparkling Gems From the Greek, Volume 1
Before the foundation of the world, God had a plan for your life. As He knit you together in your mother’s womb, your Heavenly Father breathed dreams into your spirit aligned with that plan. Those God-given dreams reflect your special individuality, calling, and divine giftings. You are called to be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ, not to the image or opinions of your family and friends.

Vision
Maintaining a clear-cut, unambiguous, and indisputable vision is vital for your life. That trail may occasionally lead you through dense forests, dry places, and even occasional danger, but if you stay on track, the vision God placed in your heart will ultimately lead you to His destination for your life.
The Will of God — The Key to Your Success
Your dream — your God-given vision, your word from the Lord — is unique. God has a special plan for you that is for you alone and no one else. In fact, you are so special and unique that God had His hand on your life even before the foundation of the world!

Prayer is essential to fulfilling your vision. Not only is it the only way you’re going to discover the specific boundaries and perimeters of your vision, but it’s the only way you will discover how, when, where, and with whom you are to proceed.
The Point of No Return
There is something about seeing — visualizing, dreaming, and imagining — what God has promised us that causes faith to rise up in our hearts and sustain us in difficult times. We should never underestimate the power of the images and dreams God places in our hearts and minds.
