Angels, Prophecy & The End-Times Battle

In a powerful conversation between prophetic voice Joseph Z and Bible teacher Rick Renner, the two ministers shared profound insights on angels, prophetic gifting, and the role of praying in tongues.

Their discussion highlighted the importance of spiritual sensitivity and the need for strong, faith-filled connections in the body of Christ.

The Power of Spiritual Relationships

Joseph Z opened the discussion by emphasizing the importance of relationships, especially among leaders in ministry. “So many people in life and ministry, they don’t have relationships,” he said. “They’re very lonely… I really believe God’s going to raise up more and more people to just be friends and help people connect in the body of Christ, especially leaders.”

Rick Renner echoed this sentiment, stating that his ministry has always been about serving others rather than self-promotion. “The purpose of our life is to undergird and to support others,” he explained. “The Apostle Paul said God didn’t give us authority to dominate you but to be helpers of your faith.”

Renner and Z share a deep bond, with Z expressing gratitude for Renner’s impact on his life. “My life changed when I met you, Rick,” he shared. “So many things began to take off in the way God has ordained them to be.”

Renner affirmed this connection.. “Honestly, when you came into my life, it’s like a door opened to new relationships,” he said. “I do feel a need to speak into younger people’s lives… and honestly, Joseph, I’ve never had more fun.”

Understanding Prophetic Gifting

During their discussion, Renner asked Z about how he receives prophetic revelation. Joseph explained that it often begins with an internal vision or an intense sense of the presence of God. “Sometimes, it’ll be just something I see in my heart or even with my mind’s eye,” he said. “A lot of times, I’ll feel the power of God come on me, and it begins to burn… when I start to get images of things, I know the Lord wants me to talk about it.”

Renner pointed out that Joseph Z operates as an interpreter of spiritual things, similar to how tongues and interpretations work. “Interpretation is you trying to put in your words, to the best of your ability, what you’ve heard or what you’ve seen,” he explained. “Sometimes you don’t get it quite right because you’re not perfect with human vocabulary.”

Z agreed, adding that the key is faithfulness to the Word of God and prayer. “If you’re not with Him, if you’re not talking with Him, then you’re not going to have anything to say to anybody else.”

How to Set Your Sails as a Prophet

Rick Renner then asked Z how he “sets his sails” to receive from the Holy Spirit.

“I read my Bible every day,” Z responded. “I say read the Bible until it starts talking back to you.”

He explained that the Word of God should become so ingrained in a believer that it influences their decisions and emotions. “That means you’ve baptized yourself in the Word so much that faith is mixing with it and something very real is happening from the voice of God through the Word.”

Renner affirmed the importance of Scripture and asked about the role of praying in tongues.

Z answered, “It’s the glue that binds everything together supernaturally.” He explained that while the Word of God serves as the foundation, praying in tongues “sorts it all out for your spirit and brings you where you’re supposed to go.”

Renner expanded on this point, revealing that the phrase “building yourself up in your most holy faith” from Jude 1:20 is actually an architectural term. “It means to expand your residence or to expand your space,” he said. “If I pray in tongues, I’m knocking the walls out spiritually, making room for more.”

Paul, who wrote much of the New Testament, was a strong advocate for praying in tongues. “In 1 Corinthians 14:18, Paul said, ‘I pray in tongues more than all of you,’” Renner pointed out. “And he had more revelation than anyone else.”

A Call to Action: Embracing the Prophetic and Expanding the Kingdom

Throughout the discussion, Joseph Z and Rick Renner highlighted the importance of engaging with the prophetic, praying in tongues, and deepening one’s relationship with the Lord.

Renner praised Z’s latest book, Servants of Fire, saying, “When I read this book, I thought that is the best thing I have ever read on the subject of angels.” He also shared that Kenneth Copeland personally reached out after watching their series, Sons of Issachar, asking how he could get a copy of the book and meet Joseph Z.

Looking ahead, Z and Renner plan to continue ministering together, including a trip to Israel. “We’re going to start in Jerusalem, go to Nazareth, and visit the School of the Prophets,” Renner revealed.

Z expressed excitement for these upcoming endeavors, stating, “I want to travel the world with you.”

Faith Stands Still: A Prophetic Charge to the Church

As their conversation concluded, Joseph Z delivered a powerful word about perseverance and faith.

“Faith stands still. Faith says, ‘I’m not budging, I’m not moving, I’m going full-term. I am not changing until this thing has been delivered in my life,’” he declared.

He called the Church to remain steadfast, declaring, “The enemy wants difficulty and evil, but I believe we will get through this… and I believe we can have a future for our sons and daughters because Jesus wants victory. But it’s up to the Church.”

Do You Have Questions About the World Before the Flood? Does the Bible Really Explain the ‘Unexplainable’?

Are we really living “in the days of Noah” as some prophets have said?

How are the events of Noah’s Ark and the Flood relevant to the last days?

Are rebellious, fallen angels masquerading as aliens and UFOs today?

In this book, Rick Renner ― historian and Bible teacher with extensive knowledge of New Testament Greek ― clears up some rampant erroneous theories while uncovering brand-new revelations from the Bible. He uses archaeological findings, the writings of Church fathers, trusted historical documents, and Scripture to answer these and other questions, such as:

  • When was the first recorded rapture? What does it tell us about the rapture of the Church?

  • Are the “sons of God” in Genesis and the fallen angels the same thing?

  • Who were the watchers God assigned to guard mankind after the Fall?

  • Was Methuselah’s life a prophetic demonstration of God’s longsuffering that preceded judgment?

  • What did God’s promise of “120 years” really mean?

  • Where is Noah’s Ark today? And why did God save only Noah and his family?

  • Are there any consequences of unholy living today?

Using photos from his own expeditions in the lower Ararat mountains ― along with other empirical evidence of the Ark’s location ― Rick captivates readers in this book and brings the Bible to life concerning this favorite childhood story. Containing hundreds of photos, illustrations, and endnotes, Fallen Angels, Giants, Monsters, and the World Before the Flood is “a museum in a book” and a must-have edition to refreshand refire your walk with God!
